  1. I just read about this installation in Arcade Journal.

    "The installation’s material effects respond to changes in the outside
    environment (sun angle, weather) and in turn create dynamic effects
    within the atrium (acoustic, visual)."

    I initially thought that meant that the material itself actually changes in reaction to the sun angle and weather so that the shape of the installation would change, thus changing the acoustics. Is that so, or have I misunderstood? When I read that the yarn was acrylic, I was much less certain of my interpretation. Maybe I have a lot to learn about acrylic!
